Bombshell Gallery is a "rock 'n' roll gallery" - a music and cultural nightspot located at 2536 Central Avenue in the Grand Central District of St. Petersburg. If you dig music, art, movies, books, and culture, you'll dig Bombshell. We are owned and operated by local writer/musician/Administer of Hijinks GINA VIVINETTO --yes, the chick who got very publicly fired by the St. Pete Times. Gina has interviewed everyone you can think of: YOKO ONO (four times); the girls of SLEATER-KINNEY; LARS ULRICH of METALLICA. BRIAN FUCKING WILSON. Think of someone- go ahead, anyone. TOMMY LEE?. Yes, right after he got out of jail. Ain't we sexy???

TONY BENNETT? Yes, three times. CYNDI LAUPER? Yes, while she was in the backseat of a New York cab talking to Gina on her cell phone. ARETHA FRANKLIN! PATTI SMITH.

Gina has also played in several bands on the local music scene. Currently, she is singing for the Peabodies and playing bass in the Teacups.

Housed in an art deco building from 1935, Bombshell proudly displays work by artists from the bustling Tampa Bay scene as well as international notables (JON LANGFORD of the MEKONS). We also have hundreds of books with topics ranging from Art criticism by Clement Greenberg to comedy musings of Steve Martin, books on queer theory and Zippy the Pinhead comics.

At Bombshell, we take pride in our cultural events - lectures, live music, important films, and also our uncanny ability to throw kick ass parties. Spelling bees? Fairyoake? Yes. Celebrity autobiography readings? Poetry slams? All that, and bingo. Our hours are irregular, but we are typically open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights hosting great music and art events. Send your email address to gina AT bombshellgallery DOT com and we will put you on the Bombshell list for happenings. Holla: 727.519.5208.
